Day 1 – ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY & ALL-AMERICAN CELEBRATION
- After arriving in our Nation’s Capital, meet your GUIDE and visit the Arlington National Cemetery, America’s shrine to the valor and sacrifice soldiers have made. No land in American is more sacred than this square mile.
- Afterwards, see the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue) and check in to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center prior to visiting the National Harbor where you’ll participate in an All-American Celebration featuring Military Band performances along the Potomac River. Pending final 2022 scheduling; TBD.
Day 2 – MEMORIAL TOUR & NATIONAL HARBOR
- Enjoy a full breakfast buffet at the Gaylord Resort prior to departing for a Guided Memorials Tour to include: the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the National World War II Memorial, the Air Force Memorial, and the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park.
- Stop for lunch on own while touring.
- This afternoon, enjoy the National Memorial Day Choral Festival Concert at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Presented by Music Celebrations International, the American Veterans Center, and the United States Air Force, the performance will feature a 350-voice choir and the U.S. Air Force Orchestra.
- Depart and enjoy free time and dinner on own at the National Harbor.
- Use your included ticket to ride The Capital Wheel this evening. Be thrilled with amazing 360-degree views of the Nation’s Capital, illuminated at night, from your climate-controlled gondola.
Day 3 – NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY & THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
- Enjoy a full breakfast buffet at the Gaylord Resort this morning.
- Visit the NEW National Museum of the United States Army (located at Fort Belvoir). The Museum celebrates over 240 years of Army history and honors our nation’s Soldiers – past, present, and future – regular Army, Army Reserves, and the Army National Guard. It provides the only comprehensive portrayal of Army history and traditions, and offers educational experiences to illustrate the Army’s role in building and defending our nation.
- Take your MARS Exclusive VIP seats for The National Memorial Day Parade. This nationally televised parade is the largest of its kind in the United States. It is held annually along Constitution Avenue in our nation’s capital – Washington, DC to share the story of American honor and sacrifice from across the generations. Spectators to the National Mall pay tribute to those who have served, are serving, and most importantly, those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our country.
- Enjoy lunch provided while watching the Parade.
- Stop for a photo op at the United States Navy Memorial, built to honor, recognize, and celebrate the men and women of the Sea Services, past, present, and future, and inform the public about their service.
- Feast on a special Holiday Dinner included this evening at an impressive local favorite.
- The remainder of your evening is free to enjoy and explore the National Harbor and the Gaylord Resort.
Day 4 – NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE MARINE CORPS
- Enjoy a full breakfast buffet at the Gaylord Resort prior to checking out.
- Explore the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico and participate in an official Flag-Laying Ceremony. Experience what it means to be a Marine! Enter a recruiting station. Step aboard the bus taking you to boot camp. Stand astride the famed “yellow footprints” and hear the roar of your first dreaded drill instructor issuing commands! See American history through the eyes of a marine. You will leave with an understanding of the Marine Corps motto: Always Faithful, “Semper Fidelis”.
- Lunch will be on own while exploring the museum before departing for home with heartfelt appreciation and a lifetime of memories from your special and exceptional experience in the Nation’s Capital for Memorial Day Weekend.
